Jesus is coming again!
This is what the angels told the disciple as they watched Jesus ascend into heaven.
“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Act 1:11 NLT
However, Jesus first came as a baby.
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 NLT
He came to bring salvation to all, and then He will return and bring peace to the earth.
“Jesus replied, “I assure you that when the world is made new[i] and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne, you who have been my followers will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Matt 19:28 NLT
In God’s plan, he made a way for us to living with Him forever through Jesus’s death. And Jesus will come back to make all things new. A new heaven and earth.
“But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had foretold about the Messiah—that he must suffer these things. Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.” Act 3:18-21 NLT
True peace can only come from Christ. He was born, die, and lives that we might have life and peace.
As we celebrate the birth of the prince of peace, we know that forever peace is coming when Jesus returns.
“His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” Isaiah 9:7 NLT
I pray you have a Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you for reminding me that true peace comes through a relationship with Jesus.
