“And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.” I John 5:11-12 (NLT)
Culture tells us that there are many ways to God. Jesus was a “good man” or just a “prophet.”
As Christians, we know better, or do we? Do we speak up to proclaim Jesus?
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (NLT)
“But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.” John 20:31 (NLT)
With the world being turned upside down over in the past year, God calls for our attention.
Non-believers, His is calling them repent and follow Him. To make it know that He is the only way. He is Lord and King.
Believers, He is calling us not to compromise His Word and get serious about having a relationship with Him and helping others know and grow in Him.
So as we see this new year, the second week, we have no idea what will happen! Yet, what we do know is that we must still proclaim Christ to the world. He is the only way.
Contrary to a world that echo’s “live your truth” or “do you” we should live for Christ and share Him with others, because in the end, Jesus will reign forever and ever.
I am an introvert by nature. Talking is not a favorite pass time. When March of 2020 hit and we had to quarantine by August of 2020 I was still in my happy place of solitude! Yet, to share Christ, you have to talk to people. This has been a journey for me. I feel inadequate many times because I don’t want to mess up. Yet, God in His gracious works through me to tell others about Him.
So I encourage you to equip yourself in God’s Word. In order to share Christ, it is helpful to know what Jesus says about Himself. Not only studying His Word but memorizing it.
When God’s Word becomes a part of you as to commit it to memory when you need it to share with a friend the Holy Spirit will bring it to you.
Here are some verses you can start memorizing:
John 15:24 “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” (NLT)
I John 5:11-12. “And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.” (NLT)
John 14:6 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (NLT)
John 20:31 “But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.” (NLT)
As this year continues, I pray that you grow in your faith in Christ and His Word.
