I believe one of the most challenging things to do as a Christian is to wait on God. As we grow in our faith, we began to learn that His timing for His plans is perfect. God ’s plans are far better than we can imagine or think. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that there is a time for everything. “For everything, there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. . .”
Waiting to experience God’s plan for us can be arduous and difficult. In our culture today we want things immediately. Waiting gets us irritable and frustrated. We want it now! God often does not work in the immediate of right now. But His plans are always better than we could think.
I Corinthians 2:9 states “But it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (KJV). Is that not a great promise! God has prepared something great for us. All we need to do is wait on Him.
What are you waiting on God for in your life?
Have you surrendered your situation over to God and asked for help to wait on Him?
Hi Dwan – very much enjoying your blog. It’s a nice break in my day at work to reflect on Him. Thank you
