Many times, we become weak in our waiting. It is not easy. Sometimes our waiting can turn into years. That is when we can turn to the Word of God for strength. Isaiah 40: 31 says “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” (KJV) “My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalms 73:26 , KJV). We need strength to get through that waiting period. We also need to pray that we stand firm in the faith we have in the Lord. That is why it is essential to spend time in the Word of God. It helps us to gain peace in waiting.
Every morning or every night take time to express gratefulness to the Lord for all that He has done in your life. I Thessalonians 5: 18 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT). When we think about what He has done we see how much, we are blessed. We serve a good God. His love for us is unmeasurable. When we thank him for His goodness, we gain peace. We know that the all-powerful God of the universe loves us and will take care of us.
Have you thanked God for this time of waiting in your life? Specifically, tell Him why you are grateful.
